Firm and tall

I brought a gift for my close-hearted. A tale of how we met and parted. To give on a special day, I wanted. So, till the day of her birth I waited. I wanted to send the gift along with kisses. But she refused saying she want just wishes. My dreams broke like glass made dishes. And scattered around in bits and pieces. One day someone asked the gift for his friend. The wrong he did, he wanted to mend. I saw in his eyes love having no end. So I packed the gift with a card to send. When someone stands, someone must fall. This is truly the story of all. But even after losing overall. I stand erect, firm and tall.
